Welcome to Mrs. Roueche's Science Class website.
You should be able to find homework assignments and files on this webpage. Feel free to contact me with any questions at [email protected] which is my school email.
Homework is written on the board every day and students are expected to write it down in their agenda. I also add the same homework under each grade's page.
Homework and projects must be in class the day they are due. I cannot allow a student to call home for homework or projects to be brought to school. OOPS Passes can usually be used in this circumstance to bring homework the next day. Projects lose points every day they are late. If we are in a hybrid or all online schedule this will not apply.
Grades are weighted with points as follows:
Tests/Major Projects - 100 pts (expect about 4 a quarter)
Labs/Quizzes - 50 pts (expect about 8 a quarter)
Homework/Classwork - 10 pts (expect about 20 a quarter)
This gives a total of about 1000 pts per quarter. 900-1000 = A; 800-899= B; 700-799 = C; 600-699 = D; below 600 = F.
Students that miss a test may make it up each Friday before school (7:45-8:15) or after school (1:30-2:30) if we are in school.
If there are any problems, please contact me and schedule a time for a conference.
Office Hours are held every Friday for students who have questions and/or need help with the current units of instruction. I will be in my classroom between 1:45-2:30 if we are in the classroom.
Office hours are not “tutoring sessions.” Instead, they are a regularly scheduled opportunity for my students to ask additional questions, get clarification, or get a little more explanation on things they will be studying for upcoming quizzes and tests.
Students have been told the following:
• Every teacher will be available for help/questions about the most recent work being studied in class.
• Focus on Current Units, Upcoming Quizzes/Tests
• All students are welcome to attend if you have questions or need some extra help.
• This is a time for additional help – it does not replace the need or responsibility to ask questions and pay attention during class.
• The time is divided into TWO sessions if we are in the classroom at this time.
